Itinerary and Detailed Information

Though small, Portugal is a richly diverse and custom laden country filled with inviting, unique realities and historical perspectives that fill our souls and enriches our being.

Throughout your visit, we hope to immerse you in this breathtaking place and its astonishing people.

This journey will begin in the historic and scenic city of Porto. You will find Porto full of life, architecture, tradition, and gastronomical delights. We will stroll through the streets and alleys of the historic center, contemplate the majestic Douro River, and feel the hospitality of its people.

Then we'll head to the picturesque, World Heritage Douro Wine Region where you'll spend the night, enjoying an emblematic “Quinta” with its authentic hospitality and warmth. You may choose to savor the famous Port Wines, or the newly rediscovered, highly-rated DOP Douro Wines, or both. From your Quinta, you will enjoy a breathtaking panorama of scenic terraces containing centuries-old vines, cascading down the steep slopes until meeting the Douro River.

Our journey moves to Portugal’s interior, the “Côa Valley”, steeped in tradition and customs.  This is a plateau region, winding through valleys and surrounded by grandiose mountains. This is the “Douro Internacional” with its rugged cliffs and abundant animal life, particularly birds of prey. The harshness of this region makes it genuine and rustic, full of ancestral customs. Here we'll immerse ourselves in a unique world, at the mercy of time and nature. We will visit various villages, take part in their activities, taste their delicacies cooked in communal wood-fired ovens, taste the fabulous olive oil produced in ancestral mills, stroll through almond groves and vineyards at altitude among centuries-old vines that provide us with wines with unique notes. The “Côa Valley”  has an ancient history to tell, with its castles and historic villages, a real treasure waiting to be discovered.

Experience authentic and genuine Portuguese people as they welcome you into their towns and lives, while you enjoy all the creature comforts that you want.
